Working @ ams is fun because…
It is fun to work at ams, because...
...I'm happy to meet sophisticated and talented people who are experts in different areas.
My ams location:
Premstaetten - headquarters (near Graz) / Austria
My tasks/job at ams:
I work as a Staff Product Engineer @ Full Service Foundry. In this position I'm responsible for the support of the project teams during the product development phase. In addition, I carry project responsibility during the production phase and support various departments in advanced IC analysis methods. Besides, I'm a member of the MRB (Material Review Board).
I have been with ams since:
What I especially like about my job:
Working at ams is always exciting. We are experts in advanced IC analysis using state of the art tools and techniques. And we are the leading edge in failure analysis. Well - continuous improvement, yield and cost
optimization is part of our daily business. Especially a Product Engineer is always very close in contact with almost all departments. Finally we take the full product responsibility. This is very challenging!
What kind of education I need(ed) for my job/Educational background:
A higher technical education at a technical high school and/or University is mandatory but maybe more important: to be a technician with “body and soul”.
What I am famous for within ams/my team:
I'm famous for being so tenacious - no problem goes unsolved however small!
If you ever travel to my country, one thing you should not miss doing is...
...visiting a traditional "Buschenschank" in our wonderful south/east styrian region: Slow food and coziness are guaranteed.
