Working @ ams is fun because…
It is fun to work at ams, because...
... it is still a flexible company that gives employees the freedom to adjust quickly to the needs of the customers and to bring the right people within ams together to solve the challenging tasks we are facing in our fast-paced world. Working in a satellite office of ams feels almost like working for a start-up company but with the safety of the big corporation in the background.
My current ams location:
My tasks/job at ams:
I am FAE (Field Application Engineer) for key accounts. My job is to present new ams technologies to the customer and identify opportunities. Once an opportunity turns into a project it is my job to coordinate the technical interaction between multiple teams on the customer side and within ams.
I have been with ams since:
June 2008 first in Premstaetten/Austria and since 2012 in Cupertino
How it happened that I am working at ams:
I wrote my diploma thesis with ams in 2005, but I was not able to get a job at that time. In 2008 I met an ams manager on a business trip and he told me that ams is searching for a Product Manager for Standard Linear Products. So I successfully applied again.
What I especially like about my job:
To be at the “frontline” to the customer and to work with all the different people across all the departments of ams.
The greatest fun at work was when I...
... was organizing and working on the expansion of the local Cupertino office. We grew from a small sales office into an ams site including three labs within one year.
I am originally from:
If you ever travel to my country, one thing you should not miss doing is...
... spending a night out in San Francisco to enjoy a dinner at a nice restaurant and dive into the night scene in one of the bars and clubs of this city. And don’t forget to ride the cable car at night.
