AppliedSensor Named by Deloitte as One of 50 Fastest-Growing
Technology Companies in Sweden, One of 500 in Europe, Middle East and Africa

WARREN, NEW JERSEY – [BUSINESSWIRE] – AppliedSensor, a developer and producer of chemical sensor components and modules, has been named to the Fast 50 Sweden, the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 EMA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), and included in Deloitte's CEO Survey. Deloitte annually recognizes the fastest-growing technology companies in more than 20 countries. For 2007, AppliedSensor is ranked 32nd in Sweden, based on its revenue growth of more than 650 percent over the past three years, and ranked 254th in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

"Making the Deloitte list of fast-growth technology companies demonstrates that the sensor technology in which we have invested more than 25 years of research and development is now recognized by manufacturers as the best-performing and most cost-effective solution," said AppliedSensor CEO Robert Straubinger.

Last year, AppliedSensor announced the integration of their Air Classification Module (ACM) into the 2007 BMW X5 Sport Activity Vehicle to provide occupants with cleaner in-car air, and that selection of their HSS-440 Hydrogen Safety Module by several major auto manufacturers for their new fuel cell/hydrogen-powered vehicles. The HSS-440, designed specifically for fuel cell and hydrogen-powered vehicles, is based on advancements in Field Effect (FE) technology. The module is mounted in the car cabin, under the hood and in the trunk area to detect hydrogen gas leaks at levels far below the established LEL (lower explosion limit) of four percent in air. AppliedSensor will exhibit the HSS-400 at the Hydrogen Expo US, March 30 through April 4, 2008, in Sacramento, California. The company will also introduce a new Indoor Air Quality Module later this year.

AppliedSensor provides chemical sensor solutions for air quality, safety, comfort and control. The company brings its expertise in chemical sensor systems to a broad range of industries and applications, including indoor air quality, automotive air quality and hydrogen gas sensing. AppliedSensor operates facilities in Sweden, Germany and the United States.
